CollapsiblePanel3b SETCAN™ Corporation - SIMUNITION Ammunition.

Applications

• Basic firearms familiarisation and skill development
• Static or reactive target practice without a range or ballistic facility
• Tactical scenarios
• Video or slide-based Shoot/No Shoot exercises against a paper screen
• Urban fighting (MOUT/FIBUA)

CQT® Advantages

Functions in Simunition® converted service weapons
Convenient target training (any place, any time)
Increase personnel safety (reduced lethality)
Reduce accidents and operational restrictions (noise abatement requirements)
Lower range construction and maintenance costs
Allow for variable range configurations
Do not require large impact areas

These lethal cartridges are not to be fired at personnel.

These potentially lethal polymer projectiles ARE NOT TO BE FIRED AT PERSONNEL, but are ideal for target shooting, indoors or out, for basic firearms training or advanced tactical shooting exercises. CQT® (Close Quarters Target) ammunition is an integral part of the Simunition® reduced-energy training system.

Requiring no special ballistic infrastructure or sophisticated bullet trap devices, these cartridges can be used on reactive, paper or cardboard targets in urban or suburban environments, indoors or out, in improvised facilities or on conventional ranges, without risk of damage to the training facilities. The 9 mm CQT® cartridge produces recoil similar to live ammunition and features tactical accuracy up to 30 feet (10 meters). The 5.56 mm CQT® features tactical accuracy up to 165 feet (50 meters). Both calibres are considered highly effective small-cartridge training systems by professionals worldwide.

Toxfree Logo

Greenshield® Advantages

Non-lethal and non-toxic cartridges (Toxfree primer)
No weapon modification required
Non-toxic copper/polymer bullet
No ricochet or splash back
Excellent accuracy at tactical firing distances
Reduced safety/danger zones
Similar recoil and function to duty ammunition
Reduced barrel wear
Significant savings in range construction and maintenance costs

These lethal cartridges are not to be fired at personnel.

Greenshield® are truly frangible, lead-free, full-energy training ammunition, designed to reduce health and safety hazards by eliminating exposure to lead and other heavy metals. The bullets are composed of a patented, copper-tin-polymer compound and do not require a jacket, so splash back and ricochet dangers are virtually eliminated – the projectiles disintegrate into powder upon impact with a hard surface (steel target or backstop material).

Greenshield® frangible cartridges deliver equivalent accuracy and ballistic match with service ammunition out to tactical ranges, and function without any weapon modifications. The environmentally-friendly rounds generate similar recoil and noise levels to duty ammunition and are available in 9 mm and 5.56 mm calibres for training on indoor and outdoor ranges as well as in MOUT and FIBUA environments.

Applications

• Training in or close to urban areas where safety templates need to be greatly reduced
• Training in indoor ranges
• Training in MOUT or FIBUA environments where reducing ricochet and safety templates is important
• Sniper-initiated assault training at facilities using improvised or portable bullet traps

Short Stop® Advantages

No weapon modification
Non-toxic projectile
Reduced safety/danger zone
Ballistic match with conventional ammunition up to 100 m
Similar recoil and function of conventional ammunition
Less barrel wear
Perfectly visible trace, day and night, up to 100 m
Significant range construction and maintenance savings

These lethal cartridges are not to be fired at personnel.

Short Stop® Short-Range Training Ammunition (SRTA) and Short-Range Training Ammunition Tracer (SRTA-T) are designed for use on ranges where ricochet and stray bullets travelling beyond standard target distances pose a problem. Used in the trainees’ own service weapons, without conversion, these lethal non-toxic 7.62 mm cartridges feature a destabilized projectile providing the accuracy of conventional ammunition up to 100 meters (330 feet), yet maximum range is reduced to less than 600 meters with similar recoil and function.

Short Stop® projectiles are made with a non-toxic and frangible bronze/copper polymer-filled which reduces the danger of ricochet and splash back associated with conventional ammunition, while reducing environmental contamination.

The unique Short Stop® tracer represents a quantum leap in technology by incorporating tracer technology with a short-range frangible projectile. This projectile has day and night tracing capabilities. It is safe to use and meets environmental regulations. It has the same interior and exterior ballistics as an SRTA ball round.
